Sabrina
is one of my favourite
Audrey Hepburn's movies. The movie was a classic romantic story. So,
it was not a very excellent one but it
contained the ever-famous actors. They are Humphrey Bogart (Casablanca), Audrey
Hepburn (Roman Holiday),
and William Holden (Sunset Boulevard). The movie also contained many humorous
dialogues. Billy Wilder wanted Cary Grant to be the part of Linus Larrabee; however, Cary declined the role.
Although Bogey was a great actor, but this kind of romantic comedy was not his
strong point. Some rumours also
said that Humphrey Bogart didn't like Audrey to be the role of Sabrina; he
thought Audrey was not a great actress and he wanted to have his wife, Lauren
Bacall to get the part.
But, rumour is rumour; if there was no Audrey taking the role of Sabrina, who
could make Sabrina so lively? In 1995, Sydney
Pollack brought Sabrina back to the big screen. They had Harrison Ford,
Julia Ormond, and Greg Kinnear. Unfortunately, it has no comparison with the 1954's. Because Audrey Hepburn
brought the character to life. Sabrina is not a very special character but
Audrey's ultimate glamour shines in the movie. Audrey did not just
capture the heart of the two Larrabee's brothers, she also captured our
heart. William Holden was the prefect role for
David Larrabee. He seems very good at playing some role of playboy.
The movie was nominated and awarded in many award ceremony.
